Plotwork's Cost Tracking Template

This downloadable item includes an excel sheet for tracking the commercial progress of plotwork's on site. We have provided a screenshot which shows a snippet of the work sheet.

This sheet is great for tracking the real time progress of how long elements of work have taken. At the top of the sheet you can add the cost to your company of plant & labour. Each element of work is then  filled in, our sheet is focused on groundworks, but can be amended to any element of house building. The cost in your bill is then entered. Below this, you then fill in your anticipated programme time with labour and plant, and then the cost related to the rates you have given. This will then instantly give you an estimated profit per plot,

Once an element of work has been completed on a plot, you can then fill in the actual time it has taken for labour & plant. This will then tell you your actual cost and margin. Complete this for every single plot to accurately keep track, and see whether any amendments to your price are required on future projects.

At the bottom of each element, it will then work out the total cost from the data you have entered, and give you the total profit margin.  It also gives you a forecast from the initial figures you entered at the start, so you have an idea of where the element of work may end up cost wise.

The sheet gives an in depth view at your costs when completing plotwork's by allowing you to accurately track the progress on individual plots, and then take them all into account for an overview of all works. 

Some previous experience with excel is likely required (mainly inputting formulas, as instructed in the document)

We have included some screenshots of the sheet, however, this only shows a small part of some of them to give you an idea and prevent copying. The screenshots also do not show formulas used to make the sheets work efficiently.
