CVR (Cost Value Cost Value Reconciliation) - Cost Tracking Templates
This downloadable item includes two excel sheets for tracking costs in construction projects. These sheets have been used successfully in previous projects to keep up to date with costs and ensure they come in on budget. Both sheets are to be used together. Please read the details of each sheet below. All of our templates come with instructions on how to use them (we have made them simple to use for ease of use, the instructions are additional guidance). We also have a support email should you need any further assistance.
We have included some screenshots of the sheets, however, this only shows a small part of some of them to give you an idea and prevent copying. The screenshots also do not show formulas used to make the sheets work efficiently.
Commercial Document - This sheet is for accurately tracking monthly valuations and costs, and will give a detailed overview month to month of how a project is doing. Each month you can enter the contract sum and variation totals, it will then automatically work out the amount less the retention (you can input your own retention %). This will then present you with the certified payment for that month. It will also total any previous payments.
Below this section shows how much is left to claim each month, based on the total contract value you have inputted.
Opposite the valuations is an area to put your monthly costs in, we have set this up as labour, plant & materials. Simply input your costs in. It will then work out the % each element makes up of your total cost. Once you reach the second month, it will then also work out your monthly total for site costs.
Under this section, it will then work out your profit/loss for the entire duration of the project, and just based on the month you are completing. It will break this down into your profit/loss based on the gross amount you have claimed, and the actual amount you have been paid (less retention amount). It will provide a percentage automatically against your costs.
This sheet provides in depth data of your costs to date and month to month, and allows you to see it all in one area, instead of going back and forth through valuation documents to work out figures. The sheet will do everything automatically, it just requires data input from your valuations and costings.
We do offer a plant cost calculator sheet if you do not have a way to obtain this data (sold in a different template pack). We presume labour & materials will be captured via accounts or similar.
CVR Cost Tracking Sheet - This sheet then brings all your commercial documents together to give an overview of all active and previous projects. The sheet is split so you can group clients projects into one area, Using your commercial document, input the data into this sheet. It will then automatically work to calculate your profit/loss and total costs. This sheet can be used as a stand alone if you do not wish to fill in a commercial document (this may be the case for small projects which you still wish to track). This sheet is a great tool for easily viewing how projects are doing, and reviewing current figures. Once a project is finished, you can copy it into the completed projects list for that year.
As mentioned, these templates will come with instructions to provide an overview of how to use the sheets. All sheets are compatible with excel. Once sheets are purchased, please keep internally within your company, and do not share with anyone outside.
Once you have purchased a product, it will be automatically sent to the email you have provided at checkout. It may take up to 5 minutes to come through. If it takes longer than this, please contact us.
