BoQ (Bill of Quantities) Pricing Templates
This downloadable item includes four excel sheets for pricing construction projects. These sheets have been used successfully in previous projects, please read the details of each sheet below. All of our templates come with instructions on how to use them (we have made them simple to use for ease of use, the instructions are additional guidance). We also have a support email should you need any further assistance.
We have included some screenshots of the sheets, however, this only shows a small part of some of them to give you an idea and prevent copying. The screenshots also do not show formulas used to make the sheets work efficiently.
BoQ Template Sheet 1 - Contains a professional front sheet with client information and overall total, terms and conditions tab so you can specify your own companies terms, summary page of all pricing tabs, including project specific tender inclusions/exclusions, numerous pricing tabs set up ready to be filled in, simply edit the headings to suit your project.
BoQ Template 2 - This template has been created with larger projects in mind. It contains all the above plus items outlined here. Professional cover page with your company/client info including logo (if sheet is to be printed and handed to client etc). Dedicated info & tender allowance/exclusion page. Dedicated summary page with room for any other pricing additions you may need to add. Pricing tabs have a different layout to BoQ 1, which may be easier for larger projects.
BoQ Template 3 (Basic) - Basic template for smaller builders/projects. This template lays out individual materials and their quantities, plus, plant & labour with their rates and times required. Includes inclusions & exclusions, contact information, plus client/project information. Great template for small projects such as residential driveways, or could be used for variations by larger contractors.
Build Up Template - This template can either be used by the estimating team to build up rates for the formal pricing document, or can be sent to clients to give a clear view of allowances. Includes separate tabs where client/project/element can be defined. Materials, plant and labour for individual items can then be inputted. The sheet will then automatically work out a rate based on the information, once you have inputted a quantity. For instance, if you fill in the materials, plant & labour for 100m of 600mm pipework, change the quant to 100m and this will give you a price per m. Numerous tabs and items have been set up so it can be used easily.
As mentioned, these templates will come with instructions to provide an overview of how to use the sheets. All sheets are compatible with excel. Once sheets are purchased, please keep internally within your company, and do not share with anyone outside.
