The first one is a sheet to track how much hire companies around you are charging for specific plant items. You can input the daily\/weekly cost. If you already know the rough cost of your plant, you may not need to use this, this is for companies that may not know where to start with their costs. The second sheet then takes an average from these rates and tells you the average weekly hire.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can then input your expected weekly fuel usage for this item in litres. This will then automatically calculate the cost, based on the average price per litre which you can enter at the top of the sheet (this can be updated regularly to accurately track costs). The sheet then allows you to enter other expected costs, and gives a subtotal which is the presumed cost to the company. You can then add an OHP % of your choice. It then breaks down the daily cost and weekly cost. The final column allows you to add an E\/O if you are just sending plant out for a day or other small duration. This sheet is a great way to track how much plant is costing you, and also how much to charge clients. It keeps it all in one place and can be easily updated by inputting new fuel\/hire plant costs. Then enter the number of weeks the machinery has been on site (we have added a weekly diary entry system for this). The total cost of the plant to the company will then be at the bottom of the document The total cost of fuel will then be separated to, so you have a more in depth cost analysis.
